Design Coordinator

Blends creative vision with operational coordination to ensure each project is completed in accordance with client expectations, budget guidelines, and scheduled timelines. Specific duties include: lead initial client consultations to capture design preferences, functional needs, lifestyle requirements, and project objectives, translating them into actionable design direction; assist in the creation of conceptual design plans, including detailed sketches, annotated floor plans, and basic digital layouts that communicate the proposed design; recommend and source materials, fixtures, finishes, and furnishings that align with the overall design concept, client preferences, and budget constraints; prepare and present professional mood boards, sample boards, and product palettes to clients for review and approval; serve as the coordination hub between architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure consistent execution of the approved design throughout the project lifecycle; monitor and report on project budgets, purchase orders, and material usage to ensure adherence to financial targets and forecast potential overruns; maintain and update comprehensive project schedules, tracking key milestones, product lead times, and contractor timelines to keep the project on track; conduct regular site visits to measure progress, confirm accuracy of design implementation, and identify or resolve discrepancies in real-time; provide quality assurance throughout the installation process by reviewing workmanship and material usage against design specifications; and maintain frequent and professional communication with clients to provide project updates, answer questions, manage change orders, and ensure client satisfaction from concept through completion.
