JOB DESCRIPTION:
Play a critical role in the successful planning and execution of residential
kitchen and bath remodeling projects by serving as the primary link between clients, contractors,
vendors, and the internal design team.
Blends creative vision with operational coordination to
ensure each project is completed in accordance with client expectations, budget guidelines, and
scheduled timelines. Specific duties include: lead initial client consultations to capture design
preferences, functional needs, lifestyle requirements, and project objectives, translating them
into actionable design direction; assist in the creation of conceptual design plans, including
detailed sketches, annotated floor plans, and basic digital layouts that communicate the
proposed design; recommend and source materials, fixtures, finishes, and furnishings that align
with the overall design concept, client preferences, and budget constraints; prepare and present
professional mood boards, sample boards, and product palettes to clients for review and
approval; serve as the coordination hub between architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and
internal teams to ensure consistent execution of the approved design throughout the project
lifecycle; monitor and report on project budgets, purchase orders, and material usage to ensure
adherence to financial targets and forecast potential overruns; maintain and update
comprehensive project schedules, tracking key milestones, product lead times, and contractor
timelines to keep the project on track; conduct regular site visits to measure progress, confirm
accuracy of design implementation, and identify or resolve discrepancies in real-time; provide
quality assurance throughout the installation process by reviewing workmanship and material
usage against design specifications; and maintain frequent and professional communication
with clients to provide project updates, answer questions, manage change orders, and ensure
client satisfaction from concept through completion.
Requires certificate in Interior Design.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree or foreign equivalent in Fine Arts, Interior
Design, or a related creative/design field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or
experience in design, remodeling coordination, or construction support role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have experience in the following: 1) Knowledge with residential
design principles, material selection, and construction workflows; 2) Ability to manage multiple
project timelines and handle material sourcing and budget tracking; 3) Preparing design
documentation and coordinating with field teams; 4) Using tools such as SketchUp, Trimble
Layout, AutoCAD, Archicad, CorelDRAW, ProKitchen, Photoshop, 3D Max; and 5) Ability to
create drawings, presentations, and interior 3D visualizations.
